Dr. Michael Koriwchak received his medical degree from the Duke University School of Medicine in 1988. He completed his Internship in General Surgery and Residency in Otolaryngology at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in 1994. Dr. Koriwchak continued at Vanderbilt for a fellowship in Laryngology and Care of the Professional Voice.
Dr. Koriwchak moved to Atlanta in 1995 to become one of the original physicians of ENT of Georgia. Once a singer himself, many of his patients depend on their voice for their careers. Some are well- known entertainers.
Dr. Koriwchak’s practice offers complete treatment for sinus and allergy problems including medicinal treatment, allergy skin testing and immunotherapy, office procedures and surgery. Other areas of emphasis include sleep apnea, head and neck surgery, throat problems and swallowing disorders.
Dr. Koriwchak has been writing about health care policy and heath information technology since 2010 and has appeared in Forbes Magazine, The Washington Examiner, NEJM Catalyst, Kevin MD, Physicians Practice, The Daily Signal, Townhall.com, Western Journal, Opportunity Lives, Healthpolicy.tv, Health Care News and RealClear Health. Over the past few years, he has had the privilege of eight invited visits to the White House to advise on health care policy, including the June 24, 2018 signing of the Executive Order to Improve Price, Ǫuality, and Transparency.
In addition to his medical practice and health IT work, he is also the Compliance Officer and Managing Partner for his practice, Vice President of the Docs4PatientCare Foundation and a member of the Health Advisory Board of the Technology Association of Georgia. He is a past co- host of the chat radio show and podcast, “The Doctor’s Lounge”, interviewing notable guests such as Andy Slavitt, Acting Administrator of CMS.
