Dr. Kim was born in New York City and is the daughter of two physicians that moved to the United States from Korea. After graduating from Yale University, she attended the St. Louis University School of Medicine and then completed her otolaryngology residency at the Tulane University School of Medicine. She joined ENT of Georgia in 2004 after moving to Atlanta, where she lives with her husband and two children.
No two patients are exactly alike, and Dr. Kim believes in listening carefully to each patient. Her goal is to combine her training and experience with her ability to listen to and understand each patient’s unique situation so together they can find the correct diagnosis and customize a treatment plan that is best suited for them.
Dr. Kim is not a proponent of over-prescribing medications or being too aggressive with recommending surgery. Sometimes less really is more. She strives to work with patients to find the ideal solution to their problems by carefully using the right tests to identify the problem and the appropriate procedures to resolve it.
Dr. Kim wants my patients to understand what we are doing and why. Medicine doesn’t have to be a mystery. She does her best to explain medical conditions and procedures in a way that makes sense to her patients. She feels successful outcomes are a result of good teamwork between physician and patient.
Dr. Kim strives to provide compassionate and accessible care. She tries to see things from her patients’ point of view and dos her best to be as available and responsive as possible. She is grateful for the privilege of caring for people and take seriously the responsibility to help them obtain and maintain optimal health.
