I am Dr. Kaelyn Krook, a board-certified Otolaryngologist and fellowship-trained Allergist at ENT of Georgia. Originally from Midland, MI (two hours north of Detroit), I was immersed in a small-town culture where people helped other people and from a young age I knew I wanted to be in a position where I could assist people in need. From science experiments in my kitchen, to the high school anatomy lab, I quickly learned medicine was my calling, and interacting with people was my greatest reward.
Fast forward to undergrad at the University of Richmond, where I played club soccer and graduated summa cum laude double majoring in Biology and Spanish, I decided to become a doctor. Subsequently, I attended the University of Virginia School of Medicine, receiving my medical degree in 2012. I became drawn to Otolaryngology early on in medical school because of the complex anatomy of the head and neck region and unique patient processes. I made my way to Atlanta, GA via the Otolaryngology residency program at Emory University. At Emory, I was given the opportunity to serve the veterans at the Atlanta VA Medical Center, a large underserved population at Grady Hospital and spent several months at Children’s hospital of Egleston as well.
I received my fellowship training in Allergy and Immunology by the American Academy of Otolaryngic Allergy (AAOA), and currently serve as Treasurer for the Metro Atlanta Educational Society for Otolaryngology.
I now call Atlanta home. I fell in love with the culture and people and aspire to give back to this community that has trained me. What I enjoy most is making a meaningful impact in my patients’ quality of life.
When I’m not helping patients you’ll find me exploring the world, enjoying restaurants, practicing yoga sculpt at CorePower Yoga, and cuddling with my eight-pound Maltese, Brody.
